The data: The growth of City donations to the Conservative Party

City financing of the Conservative Party has doubled under David Cameron to over 50% of total Tory funding, an investigation by the Bureau reveals.

The table below shows how donations to the CPCO from City backers have risen sharply over the past five years.

    This being the same party leading a government that invited 25 “top business heads” to “advise” on how to run the country and spend taxpayers’ money. Egypt and Tunisia now seem that step so much closer.
