Eleanor Rose
Eleanor is an investigative journalist with experience pursuing complex investigations. She picked up her passion for stories about wealth, power and oligarchs while working on the Panama Papers with OCCRP in 2016; and was part of a team that won the IRE Tom Renner Award for a series of stories about the financial dealings of Azerbaijan’s ruling family. She joins TBIJ from Liberty Investigates, the editorially independent investigative journalism unit based at Liberty, which she helped found in 2019 and where her work focused on police brutality and racism, and asylum seekers’ rights. Under her leadership the team was shortlisted two years running for the Orwell Prize for Exposing Britain’s Social Evils, as well as for the Paul Foot Award and a CJA Award for Outstanding Journalism.
