Ben du Preez

Ben joined the Bureau after ten years as a campaigner and community organiser, predominantly working on issues of migrant justice and global health inequality. He comes from a background in NGO campaigning and working directly with communities of experience to ensure they are the ones leading on the advocacy that affects them. He has supported growing the power of refugee leaders at Amnesty International, people with experience of immigration detention at Detention Action, and survivors of torture at both Freedom from Torture and Médecins Sans Frontières, respectively. Ben is responsible for ensuring the Bureau’s journalism has an impact beyond its publication.
