Meirion Jones spent many years running investigations for the BBC at Newsnight and Panorama on everything from vulture funds to US election fraud. He won the Daniel Pearl award for his investigation into the dumping of Trafigura’s toxic waste in Africa, the London Press Awards Scoop of the Year for his part in the Jimmy Savile revelations and was nominated for a Royal Television Society award for his investigation into the 'fake sheikh', Mazher Mahmood. He joined the Bureau in 2016 in the new post of investigations editor.
