Rosa is an investigative journalist specialising in global health issues, with particular focus on access to healthcare. She received the Amnesty International Gaby Rado Award for New Journalist 2022 for her coverage of Covid-19 vaccine inequity. In 2021, she was awarded the Association of British Science Writers’ prize for investigative journalism, and the Foreign Press Association award for best science story. She was highly commended for the Medical Journalists’ Association Newcomer of the Year award, and shortlisted for New Journalist of the Year in the British Journalism Awards. Previously, she worked for investigative news magazine Mother Jones and freelanced for publications in the UK, US and east Africa. She holds a master’s in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley.
