Get the data: Walk-in centres in jeopardy

Research by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism has found that many NHS walk-in centres are facing closure, despite their popularity with patients.

The centres were intended as an overflow provision for those who are not registered with a GP. However many PCTs, which fund the centres, say they are being used to the neglect of traditional surgeries.
